SEISMIC VECTORIZATION & POST STACK PROCESSING

Prior to any seismic traces reconstruction, the image of the scanned seismic section is edited from any heavy interpretation/annotation present on the original.

Different seismic vectorization algorithms are used, depending upon the quality of the original prints/films.

A post-stack processing can be used to enhance the data quality of the original processing by using different processing modules and output to SEG-Y.

BASEMAP DIGITIZATION

Data navigation co-ordinates could be achieved by digitizing seismic base map. The digital data could be provided on a CD-ROM or inserted in the trace header of the SEG-Y seismic data.

The digitized data could be edited, converted to any projection system or datum. The output format is a TXT or SHP file.

CONTOUR MAP DIGITIZATION

Contour maps are digitized and output in ASCII, CDR or DXF format for any hydrocarbons related data (Time, depth, Elevation, Gravity…).

WELL LOG DIGITIZATION

Prior to digitizing the image is edited and calibrated. Robust multi-curve digitizing software is used and output to standard LAS file.
After digitizing, the editing software is used for splicing or editing curves prior to validation. The header of the output LAS file is also edited according to the original information of the well log.

TAPE COPY & DATA TRANSCRIPTION

The services of tape copy and data transcription include:

Data copying, editing and online QC check with index files describing media contents for all media types.

Transcribe geophysical data
Demultiplexing seismic field data and Vibroseis X-correlation
Convert Demultiplexed SEGD to SEGY.

LOG INTERPRETATION AND FORMATION EVALUATION

Evaluation of gas-oil bearing boreholes has an increasing importance in Libya since the number of gas-oil bearing fields is continuously increasing with increasing reducibility; it is known that the formation evaluation methodology and software are essential for characterizing such boreholes.

The Petrophysics analyses are made by a compounded Scientific Methodology elaborated by the highly qualified professionals (Mind ware) and Software called “PETROLOG”.

This Analysis introduces the technology, and offer the application service based on the cooperation between Al-Manarat M.P.S.C. and the Oil and Gas Companies.

2D SEISMIC ACQUISITION INFORMATION CONVERSION TO DIGITAL SPS FORMAT

This application has been developed for generating the digital standard SPS format from old 2D seismic acquisition surveys information which is still in hardcopy paper or image.

The main objectives of this service are:

- To avoid the document information loss

- To reduce time cycle document searching for the explorationists

- Digital data archiving and ready to use

- Time and cost reduction for 2D seismic data reprocessing

The Digital SPS output standard files are:

RPS file (Receiver Position)

SPS file (Source position)

XPS file (Geometry)

GEOGRAPHIC INFORMATION SYSTEMS

The ideal situation is that Geological and Geophysical data are gathered on a computer or workstation, and for that purpose, a data management system must be in place.

GIS objective is to build a complete and comprehensive data package, able to handle any database query initiated by the user and able to move E&P data between applications and databases.

The GIS system software can be used to access spatial information from any given area; this information is already input into the data base. Many links will allow accessing, exporting and viewing the data through data base requests.

For digital documents such as text, reports, graphs and charts etc., Adobe Acrobat can be linked through the graphic user interface or hot linked from cultural icons.

Specialized software such as SEGY and LIS/LAS viewers can also be hot linked for information and review purposes.

Many links allow accessing the data stored in the data base for exporting and viewing, using specific applications already installed.
